Last updated: 16 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Kyrgyz Green Infrastructure Fund (KGIF) collects through kgifund.com, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website only.
1. Who is responsible
The Kyrgyz Green Infrastructure Fund (KGIF) is the data controller for personal data submitted through this website. Bishkek Office: Zhusup Mamai Street 16, Office 6, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. Contact: [email protected]
2. What we collect
Contact form: your name, email address, organisation, the counterparty type you select, the subject of your enquiry, and the content of your message. Website assistant: the questions you type into the assistant, and the responses returned to you. Technical data: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send, financial account details, identity documents, or other sensitive personal data through this website.
3. Why we use it
To answer enquiries you send us; to route an enquiry to the right person within KGIF; to answer questions asked through the website assistant; to keep the website available, secure and protected from automated abuse; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Legal basis
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: your consent, when you submit the contact form or use the website assistant; our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and responding to business enquiries; and our legal obligations, where retention of a record is required.
5. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of established service providers, each acting on our instructions: Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the contact form. Resend — delivery of contact form submissions to our inbox by email. Amazon Web Services — hosting of the website assistant service, which processes the questions you type. Google Fonts and unpkg — delivery of typefaces and map stylesheets. These providers receive your IP address as a technical necessity of serving those files.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off, and functional cookies, which remember your preferences and enable the website assistant. You choose which optional categories to allow through the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change that choice at any time through the cookie settings link. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries received through the contact form are retained for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any relationship that follows from it, and are then deleted. Technical logs held by our hosting provider are retained for a short period for security purposes. Cookie preferences are stored in your browser until you clear them.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. To make a request, write to [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
9. International transfers
KGIF is established in the Kyrgyz Republic, and the providers listed above operate infrastructure outside it, including in the European Union and the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or our providers change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described above, write to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.
